Foodie Friday - When You're Sick

I have spent so much of this last week either in my bed or on my couch with a fever that there hasn't been a lot of cooking going on in our house.

Well, not a lot of good or necessarily healthy cooking.

Mike, bless his heart, has taken on so much this week. Including dinner.

It's been a smorgasbord of culinary delights, I tell you.

Dinosaur chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and Kraft Mac & Cheese. Oh, and add some Chick-fil-a chicken noodle soup and that's been our week in a nutshell.

So, what happens in your house if you're sick? And what is your favorite "sick" comfort food?

Much the same as your house. I have the added benefit of a mother in law who loves to provide meals to the sickly and ailing. She is usually good for some homemade chicken noodle soup. When I don't feel good I don't like to eat much at all. If it's tummy troubles you have to have the crackers and ginger ale. If it's a cold, love a great steaming bowl of soup. When I'm sick, dad has to spring into action as well. Lots of peanut butter sandwiches and grilled cheese is also a huge hit! Hope you are all better soon!

We have our share of Chicken noodle soup from the Chic also! Big surprise, huh? My favorite thing was a couple of years ago. I got the flu and the kids would just come to the door to say Hi. My little guy was really missing me. Then he got the flu, too. I will never forget what he said. "I am glad I got sick, so I could snuggle with you." Now that is love! Hope you are feeling better to enjoy this beautiful weekend.
