Wordless Wednesday (kind of) - Venus, Jupiter & the Moon

Did anyone catch this Monday evening?

That's Venus in the lower center, Jupiter up and to the right, and, of course a beautiful crescent Moon. It is a phenomenon that only happens once every 44 or so years.

My Uncle James will be so proud.

We missed it! We know about it until Tuesday. So I guess we have to wait another 46 years or something like that!

I saw the crescent moon but didn't notice the planets. Very cool.

I saw it and thought it was pretty without knowing what it was. We read about in online later and realized what I had seen. So pretty!

I think you can still see this, no?

E - Actually even on Tuesday, the 2nd, the moon was much higher on the horizon and the 3 were not as close. There were several days leading up to it that you could see the 3 together, but at least from Texas, we can't see them together anymore. Jupiter and Venus are still visible, though, if that's what you mean.
